At Parchita, we believe food is more than flavor — it’s connection, memory, and celebration.

Where It All Began.

Parchita (the Venezuelan word for passionfruit) is a fruit as bold and vibrant as the culture I grew up in. For me, it’s always been a symbol of abundance, joy, and a little bit of sass — the perfect name for what I wanted to share with the world.

I grew up surrounded by flavors that told stories — the aroma of arepas in the morning, family tables overflowing with laughter, and recipes that felt like love letters passed down through generations. When I moved away from home, I carried those memories with me, and soon realized that food was not just nourishment… it was a bridge. A way to stay connected, to create, to celebrate.

The Birth of Parchita Gourmet

Parchita didn’t start as a business — it started as a YouTube channel. Back in 2019, I decided to fuse my two greatest passions: storytelling and cooking. I had spent years working in some of Miami’s best kitchens before stepping into the world of advertising, so blending flavors and crafting narratives came naturally.

My mission was simple: to give Venezuelans scattered all over the globe a way to reconnect with home through food. If we couldn’t always be with our families, we could at least cook the comfort dishes that remind us who we are.

The channel launched on March 18, 2019, and within 24 hours our very first video had over 400 views. Today, the community has grown to almost 16,000 subscribers and 100+ recipes, each one carrying the same unapologetic joy of cooking that started it all.

The name Parchita — what we call passionfruit in Venezuela — became my emblem. Bold, vibrant, a little in-your-face, just like the flavors I love to create. What began as a digital recipe library has since blossomed into Parchita Gourmet Experience, an upscale pop-up experience where food transforms from something you taste into something you remember.
